Ewetopia farm is located in southwestern Wisconsin, also known as the Driftless Region. This area has hills and valleys untouched by the glaciers that leveled much of Wisconsin thousands of years ago. The varying terrain has helped keep variety in the kind of farming practiced here. Vernon County is home to many organic, biodynamic, and other sustainable farms.
Our farm is home to many woolly beasts who feast on lush grass and scrumptious organic hay. Corriedale and Border Leicester sheep provide Ewetopia with glorious roving and yarn. Cattle, horses and a few other random livestock, as well as bountiful gardens also populate our wild ridge close to Wildcat State Park and the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. We grow certified organic hay and rotationally graze our flock of 50 ewes.
The farm is where the dye studio is as well. We are very lucky and blessed to have such an inspirational setting for finding colors and playing with fibers. Large dye pots and drying racks can be seen in our yard much of the summer while children play in the gardens and barns.
In addition to the farm yarns and fibers you can find from our sheep, we also sell:
- Breeding stock
- Amazing thick woolly pelts
- Grass-fed lamb
Please contact us for information on whole or half lambs, pelt availability and breeding stock.
