I am incredibly late in sending this out due to being inundated with boxes of gorgeous yarns. It seems just about everyday this week I have had at least one new box come in and fill up even more of the back table with bags, labels and of course skeins of yarn! Shop rearranging has had to happen in an order to fit all the new yarns in fact.
A full fall class schedule is also in the works. Although August is a bit class bare, we have MANY classes scheduled for September and October
including classes on needle felting, spinning, and learn to knit. We also have project classes for basic hats, socks, a felted fair isle bag (a perfect first fair isle project), our popular Seductive Shrug and a vest from the brand new issue of Interweave Knits called the Estes Vest think cables, pockets, icords, shapingthis is going to be a great project for the advanced beginner /intermediate who is looking to try new techniques. The fall issue of Interweave Knits is hot off the press and just arrived yesterday. After a summer issue which left me looking to knitty and elsewhere for patterns, the fall issue is full of patterns I can’t wait to get on the needles! Especially with all the new yarn that’s come in!
Speaking of all this new yarn, I thought I would share with you some of the new gems we have in stock. My favorite of the new yarns is the chunky version of Berroco’s Ultra Alpaca called Cuzco, it is very soft and has beautiful pattern support. Another is the Soxx Appeal by Knit One Crochet Too, a blend of wool and elastic, great for socks, but soft enough and perfectly stretchy for your babies first winter hat!
We hope you come visit us soon! Holiday knitting is just around the corner!
May the Fiber be with you!
