Ridge Fingering
Ridge Fingering is our finer weight version of Ridge Sport, a yarn line completely produced here in the Driftless Region of Wisconsin! A lofty 2-ply fingering weight yarn is produced from fine and medium fine wool breeds such as Targhee, Rambouillet, Merino, and Merino crosses. Ridge Fingering is spun and dyed at Ewetopia Fiber Mill in La Farge, WI.
Hand dyed with professional, environmentally low-impact acid dyes, using kettle dyeing and over-dyeing techniques for subtle color changes throughout. Due to the hand dyeing process in small pots, please purchase enough for your project, and when using multiple skeins alternate skeins for seamless transitions between skeins, even within a dye lot there can be subtle changes from skein to skein.
200 yds/ 1.8 oz (50 g)
100% blend of fine and medium wool from sheep in the Driftless region of southwestern Wisconsin
7-9 sts = 1” on US # 1-3 (2.25-3.25 mm)
Hand wash and lay flat to dry
